Hoje foi dia de abertura oficial da Voodoo Doughnut, no Universal CityWalk e agora podemos experimentar mais de 50 tipos de donuts não muito comuns, até um pouco estranhos, porém deliciosos!
Utilizando o jargão “Good things come in pink boxes”, a loja oferece sabores emblemáticos que tornaram-se clássicos como o Grape Ape, o Bacon Maple Bar e, claro, a sua assinatura Voodoo Doll donut!
Os fundadores, Kenneth "Cat Daddy" Pogson e Tres Shannon, conduziram a cerimônia de inauguração na qual – pela primeira vez ao vivo e pessoalmente – apresentaram a figura carismática que aparece em todas as suas caixas rosa, o Barão da Voodoo Doughnut. A oitava loja consolida a parceria da Voodoo Doughnut com o Universal Parks & Resorts, que começou há mais de um ano com a inauguração bem-sucedida da Voodoo Doughnut no Universal Studios Hollywood.
A loja de Orlando é a primeira Voodoo Doughnut na costa leste dos Estados Unidos. E os visitantes do Universal Orlando Resort podem experimentar os donuts originais e tradicionais e também as criações únicas como o Bacon Maple Bar, com sua mistura de doce e salgado, o Grape Ape, coberto com pó de uva e lavanda granulada, ou o famoso donut com formato de boneco vodu, o Voodoo Doll, recheado com geleia de framboesa, coberto com chocolate e com uma "agulha" feita de pretzel. E os visitantes interessados em experimentar ainda mais donuts poderão comprar o Caixão de Donuts, que apresenta um caixão de madeira, artesanal, cheio com dezenas de donuts. Os visitantes poderão se divertir com os objetos peculiares da Voodoo Doughnut espalhados pela loja, incluindo obras de arte criadas por artistas de Portland e um trono gigante de donuts, exclusivo do espaço de Orlando. E também exclusivo para a loja no Universal Orlando Resort é o balcão onde os visitantes poderão assistir enquanto os mestres confeiteiros preparam as coberturas e os designs para os donuts favoritos dos fãs da loja, como o Oh Captain, My Captain, o Memphis Mafia e o Mango Tango.
Você pode encontrar o Voodoo Doughnut em CityWalk, logo à direita do NBC Sports Grill & Brew, localizado no caminho para o parque Universal Studios Florida.
